CareerOne
CareerOne is one of Australia’s largest job boards and ventured into the recruitment solutions industry.
Within CareerOne, there are strong technology and media divisions, which required an array of designs: virtual platforms, responsive websites & landing pages, presentations, digital and print advertising, email communications, stationery and other supporting print collateral.
CareerOne Recruitment Partner Network
Inspired by the rise of the aggregator business model, CareerOne created the Recruitment Partner Network. By recruiting everyday Aussies to sell job ad placements and other media for CareerOne, the app was created to help support the partners to track their earnings, equip them with information on the spot, and manage potential clients. A separate section was also created on the website, to allow potential and existing partners to sign up and access information respectively.
Steering from the usual brand colour palette, the brighter blue colour palette was chosen to represent the evolution of the brand in the tech space - exciting, vibrant and coming to life, but also utilising colour symbolism to maintain confidence, trust, and reliability with the established brand.
Monster Education
After being acquired by an education courses provider and creating our own CareerOne Education platform, we were asked by a partner company to create a website based off what we had successfully built.
Monster (UK) was also offering education courses, and in partnership with their branding agency, we collaborated to create a platform that would offer potential students a way to upskill or change careers entirely.
Greatest Job Ever
A monthly travel competition offering the chance to win a return tip to a chosen location and spending money? That would be the Greatest Job Ever! This competition created a very large, super engaged database, which then allowed CareerOne to offer sponsorships to companies to access this database.
For every destination, a hero image was created by editing and retouching existing stock imagery to capture the excitement and highlight the potential activities. The overall look and feel of each image had to keep to a warm tone, as it associated to many on being holiday.
CareerOne Commercial
A concept to partner with real estate companies using CareerOne’s mapping technology, the idea of CareerOne Commercial was to create a centralised hub for all things real estate, and potentially compete in that industry. Working on this project reinforced the importance of good quality imagery that the industry is renowned for, which became an integral part to the designs.
Presentations
CareerOne’s Media division was a growing revenue generating part of the business, and so there was a push to update and create a new look and feel. I took ownership of this mini branding project, and rolled out the new style into the pitch deck that they would send to potential clients.
The balance of data, statistics and visuals was key, as the previous presentations were too data heavy and it was difficult to story tell to a slide of all text. Clean data visualisation and the importance of saying just enough to get people interested were the key takeaways when redesigning these decks.
